Sunrise

Wednesdays, 12:30 - 1:00

$140 for a 10 week block of classes.

In fall 2010 I will be teaching this class at the MYC studio of Hannah Hamm, near Main and King Edward.

The Sunrise class, part of the Music for Young Children program, aims to provide an introduction to the exciting world of music to the very young child. The focus is on rhythm and singing, using a variety of rhythm instruments, visual and hands-on aids, crafts, and puppet characters. There are three levels of Sunrise, each covering a 10-week term. A student workbook and songbook is provided for each level of Sunrise, as well as a CD with the songs for each session. A student backpack is available for an extra cost of $10.

Students completing the Sunrise program are well-prepared to begin piano classes at the Sunshine I or Sunbeams I level.
